FOOD FOR THOUGHT - EAT THAT FROG

Good Morning, it's a new week and new opportunity to chase your goals. last week, I wrote on: "Be Proactive". This week, let us discuss: "Eat That Frog".
One of the life changing books ever is: “Eat that frog by Brain Tracy”. I read the book many years back, and it still remains evergreen in my memory. Eat That Frog is one of those few books that gives you the great leap over procrastination, Brain Tracy wrote on 21 ways to stop procrastinating and get things done.
Procrastination, they say, is the thief of time. Procrastination, though, is not only a thief of time but also a thief of greatness, accomplishment, and goals. It is very easy to write out plans, to sketch a strategy, to tell yourself how you want to accomplish a task or even to make a decision on what you want to do. It is very sweet and relaxing to dream of success, to imagine yourself making it in life, but what isn’t easy is which is also the most important to becoming successful in life and all your area of endeavor is getting the task done.
This week, I want you to have it at the back of your mind that: YES! YOU CAN! Nothing comes easy, a frog is a very irritating amphibian family of vertebrate animals. Sometimes, things to be done seems impossible, tough and time consuming. Yet this are things that must be done. Most times our day to days’ tasks are akin to eating a frog, the best way to eat a frog is by closing your house and throwing the frog in your mouth where you’ll only chew, and not see the ugly and irritating frog any longer. Just get started, take the first step, embed yourself in the task. If you can take this first step of not procrastinating, and you get started, your task, even though a big feat can be done successfully.

In conclusion, as you go this week, remember that: “tough time never last, but tough people do”. Tough up. Get it done. Do not procrastinate, EAT THAT FROG.
